The metal you select is the biggest factor in the pricing of your ring. The more precious metal your ring contains, the more costly it is.We have a page that explains the various metal options and their content. Be sure to read this page before making your decision.

Metal Finish:

The antiquing adds a dark finish to the background so that the images and letters show up better.Below is a sample of what the silver and gold rings look like, with and without the antiquing. There is no price difference between the two finishes.

Center Stone:

The center stone is a simulated birthstone, or may be upgraded to a specialty stone. The image below shows each of the 12 birthstone colors in the "Spectrum" style cut. However, since there are 12 colors and 4 cuts, there are a total of 48 birthstone options for the center stone! Bezel - Text Around the Stone:

The area of text around the stone is called the "Bezel." Because a die must be made to create the bezel, there is an added cost to have your own school name on the bezel. For this reason, we have designed a collection of bezels for our customers' use. The bezels shown below are offered only through our business, and may be selected as part of the price of the ring. If you wish to have your own school name on the bezel, there is a $75.00 die charge for the first ring. See this page for more information about the bezels.

Custom Bezel, if desired:

If you selected a custom bezel above, give us the name of your school here This ring has a maximum of 23 characters and spaces in the area around the stone. Please see this page for more information about using a custom bezel.

Accent Stone:

The small cubic zircon stones that separate the sections of the school name within the bezel may be changed, if desired. The default color is a white stone, but if you would like red or blue, they may be changed. There is a $20.00 charge to change the color of the accent stones.

Left Shank Design:

We have many, many side designs, or "shanks" to select from when designing your ring. You will need to choose two shank designs for this ring. A couple are shown below.... Visit this page to see all of the shank designs that we offer. Any of them may be used for either side of the ring. (Note: the "left" side of the ring refers to the side that is facing to the left when the ring is held so that you can read the letters on the bezel. So if you wear the ring on your right hand so that you can read the bezel design, the left side of the ring faces your middle finger.)

In the photo of the ring at the top of this page, the ring has the graduation year (2015) above the left shank, and the student's name above the right shank. The ring you are ordering has room for 10 characters and spaces on each side. Give us the text you would like to have above the left shank.

Engraving Inside Ring:
Your ring includes up to 12 characters and spaces for engraving on the inside. You may select just your initials, your name, and either script or black font. See this page to view lettering style samples for script and block.

Optional Protected Emblem:
The "Protected Emblem" is a design that is set beneath the stone so that it is visible in certain lights through the stone. If you are interested in using a protected emblem, you should choose a lighter colored stone, and select the "smooth" option for the stone cut so that the emblem is visible. The other stone cuts refract the light so much that the emblem is not really visible. Protected Emblems are not readily visible under the darker stones such as the simulated Sapphire, Ruby, or Emerald. See this page to view the designs that are offered as protected emblems.
