  • Your photo on the front; actual size 1 5/8" x 2 1/8"
  • The cards are a single panel, unfolded, 3.5" x 5" and include white single envelopes.
  • Background colors and designs are printed as shown and may not be changed. Text is printed in white.
  • After you place the order, you will get an e-mail from us with directions about providing the photo.
  • We must have a signed photo authorization form from you, giving permission from the photographer (even if the photographer is yourself) to use the photo. Get the form here.

This Open House Card has room for 10 lines, and 32 characters and spaces per line. For help with the text, see our page of verse suggestions

Skipped lines:
If you would like to leave a blank line between two sections of your text, you must write "skipped line" in that space. We strongly suggest that you not use more than one skipped line within your text. A single skipped line is enough to separate sections of text. If your verse is short, don't add extra skipped lines; we will increase the spacing between lines so it looks good on the page.

 

3b. Changes to the text:

To expedite your order, do we have your permission to make MINOR changes to the text without contacting you? Minor changes include:

  • Punctuation that does not change the meaning (punctuation is not normally used at the end of lines)
  • Capitalization to coincide with accepted use on social announcements
  • Moving a word from one line to another to improve the appearance or reading of the text.
  • Writing out abbreviated words -- "Street" instead of "St.," or "Tennessee" instead of TN.
  • Adding periods between the letters of acronyms for legibility if a script style lettering is chosen.

We will never change the spelling of names or places, we do not attempt to verify any addresses you've provided, and we will not rewrite your text. If we have suggestions beyond the minor ones listed above, we will contact you, so it is very important to give us accurate contact information when you go through the shopping cart, and then check your e-mail and voice mail. If we have questions about your text, we'll let you know, normally in the evening of the day you order.

Do we have permission to make changes to your text without contacting you?

Any special instructions? Use this box to point out unusual spellings, to let us know of any special characters, or to give any special instructions. Keep in mind, though, that if you use this box to ask a question, your order will be delayed while we contact you!

4. Optional Proof:
We can e-mail you a black and white .pdf proof after your Thank You Notes are typeset, however, it will add at least three days to the time it takes to fill your order. The proof takes three days, and then once we have your approval, the printing requires another three days.

The proof is simply a way to view the final layout of the photo and of the text in the letterstyle you've chosen. This is normally NOT necessary unless you are unsure about the lettering style or details of the layout. We "proofread" your text (and let you know if we have questions) regardless of whether or not you elect to view a final typeset "proof."
