Suggested Announcement Texts

Homeschool graduation scenarios are varied; "fill-in-the-blank"texts do not fit every family. But to give you an idea of what your announcement might say, we have provided a number of options for you, grouped into three different categories:

Section 1 (texts 1-10) Parents making the announcement that the homeschooled student is graduating or has graduated from high school.

Section 2 (texts 11-18) Student is graduating as part of a local or state homeschool support group; the announcement may come from the parents, from the group, or from the graduates themselves.

Section 3 (texts 19-28) These are "stock verses" popular through the years on announcements of public high school graduations. As with any of the suggestions on this page, you may change them to fit your situation.

With these suggestions we also hope to get you thinking about ways to express the uniqueness of your child's education, and perhaps the spiritual dimension of this passage. Remember that you may add a Bible verse or motto to the inside panel opposite your main text. A mascot may also be used. There is an additional fee for either of these additions. This option is not available on cards with the text printed on the front.

If none of these suggestions is just what you are looking for,  we  have a page with guidelines for writing your own text. Remember that we proofread every announcement text carefully and will contact you if we have any questions or suggestions.

Bold faced text is not available, but on announcements from the Social Division, the student name may be set in a different lettering style or enlarged. The order form of the announcement you choose will explain the available letter style options.

Section One:

Parents making the announcement of their student's graduation.
This may be an announcement only (no ceremony),
an invitation to a private ceremony (at home or church),
or an invitation to a party or open house

#3

This is the same wording as #2, but shows how to condense the numeric sections of the text so it will fit on a design where space is limited.

 High School Graduation
 of our son
Patrick Daniel Williams
Please join us for a

#5

This is an example of an announcement where no specific time or date are given. This looks best if the parent's names are in the first line rather than skipping another line to put them at the end.

Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Williams
are pleased to announce
the graduation of their daughter
Hannah Joy Williams
Class of 2009
Christian Liberty Academy

"But seek first his kingdom and his
righteousness, and all these things
will be given to you as well."
Matthew 6:33

This verse also works well as the second part:

"For I know the plans I have
for you," declares the Lord, "plans to
prosper you and not to harm you;
plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11

Note the use of "their son" instead of "our son" because the verse is written in the third person.

The portraits of our childhood are almost completed
The final touches are all that is needed
