Three
Homeschool Graduations
Hello, my name is Sue,
I have 2 children that have graduated in 2002, we made this
day grand. My daughter had her hair done at the salon and
a long stretch limo picked her up. Inside the limo I
had placed gifts from us (parents). This gave her time
to reminisce of time past and the future. We then had
the limo pick up our son, they both rode to the church in
the limo and we had a full graduation ceremony, caps, gowns,
diplomas. They had their favorite hymns sang and I sang
with my daughter. They presented roses to special people
in their lives and gave an essay to the crowd of people that
had effected and encouraged them in life. It was not
a place for a dry eye! This year our other son is graduating
too, we will do the same thing, the limo brought and will
bring them back home and we had a huge party with all of our
friends and neighbors! Last year was Luau style, this
year is the 3 stooges! lol... Homeschooling is wonderful
and we need to make graduation special, we don't do proms
and dances, so this time is truly a special event! This
year there will be an afghan that I have made for my son in
the limo. I hope this encourages others to realize homeschoolers
can make this day bigger and better than a public school graduation!!!!!!
Sincerely,
Sue McNabb
