What should I enter here?

Full Names without abbreviations or nicknames are normally used for diplomas. It's fine to abbreviate suffixes, like "Jr."

If you have a name for your homeschool, enter it here! It will be printed at the top of the document in our Old English font.

• Honor an influential person: "C.S. Lewis High School"
• DON'T use the name of your curriculum, support group, or local high school! Your homeschool is issuing the diploma, so your unique school name should be used.

What should I enter here?

The 'graduation date' is the day you'll present the diploma to your graduate. On the diploma, it's written out in words: "...this seventeenth day of May, Two thousand twenty-three".

What if I'm not sure?

If you don't know the exact date, you can choose "No Specific Day" and the diploma will say "...this month of (May, June, etc.)..."

What is this for?

We sell diplomas only to administrators of legally-established schools. This includes homeschooling parents who are in compliance with the laws of their state. We do not sell diplomas directly to students.

By checking this box, you're verifying that the graduate was schooled according to state law, that you have the authority to issue the diploma, and that all claims made on the diploma are your responsibility.

Can I order these diplomas for my private school, charter school, etc.?

If you are an administrator or officer of the school, then yes - and we're happy to serve you! If you're a student ordering a diploma for yourself, no - you should contact your school for a diploma :)

How do I choose?

What's the difference?

• Embossed - these gold-foil seals are embossed with their design, then adhered to your diploma by hand.
• Engraved - these are engraved directly into the paper using foil and metalic ink. The process creates a 3D seal with incredible detail.
• Gilded - Gilding is an art that dates from medieval times, requiring specialized tools and a steady hand. We apply 23.5 karat gold to the printed design. It is completely opaque, will never lose its shine, and adds a touch of unmistakable importance.

What is an Honors Seal?

An Honors Seal reflects extraordinary academic achievement. It's an embossed gold-foil seal placed in the lower left corner of the diploma.

What do the Latin seals mean?

The Latin seals, (Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Summa Cum Laude), correspond with the English (Honors, High Honors, and Highest Honors), respectively.

Honors status is usually determined by the student's GPA, but ultimately the decision rests with you, the school administrator. Here's one common system:

What's the difference?

Both papers are excellent choices. They are both heavy (65lb Cardstock), beautiful and high quality.

Ivory Parchment (Most Popular) has a slightly textured surface and an "antique" color.

Cream Paper has a smooth surface and warm coloring.

What should I enter here?

Right under the school name is space for a short line of text. This can be the city and state of your homeschool - "Chicago, Illinois" - or a short motto like "Pursuing Excellence and Godliness". There's room for up to 40 characters here.

What does this mean?

The "wording" of the diploma is the central text that describes the graduate's accomplishment.

Don't worry too much about the layout here. Our experienced staff will make sure your custom text looks its best!

What am I choosing here?

The "Signature Titles" are printed underneath the signature lines and clarify the authority of the signers.

Who signs the diploma?

You, the homeschool parent, are the one issuing the diploma, so you will sign it. And you are the administrator(s) of your homeschool - so titles like "Administrator" or "Principal" are completely appropriate.

What if I'm a single parent?

We recommend signing your name on one side, and writing out the date on the other. The "Administrator & Date" option works well here.

What do I enter here?

There are four common patterns for signature titles:

• Descriptive Phrases such as "Signature of Administrator" or "Dated by Administrator"
• Titles Only such as "Administrator" or "Date"
• Matching the Signatures - printing out exactly what will be written by hand, such as "Edward J Martin" or "June 3, 2023"
• Name + Title such as "Mary Harris, Principal"

We recommending using the same pattern for both left and right signatures. For example, if the left side says "Signature of Administrator" (the "Descrptive Phrase" pattern), use another descriptive phrase for the right side - i.e. "Dated by Administrator" instead of "Date" or "June 3, 2023".

What am I choosing here?

The state you select will be inserted into the diploma wording: "...in accordance with the regulations of the State of _________..."

State vs. Commonwealth

If you live in Kentucky, Massechusetts, Pennsylvania or Virginia you'll see that you have the option of "State of ____" or "Commonwealth of ___". Both are correct; we offer the option here because these 4 states technically refer to themselves as Commonwealths.

What am I choosing here?

Your selection here influences the 2nd sentence in the diploma wording, which refers to the document as a "culmination" of the graduate's education. We offer these options so you can more precisely reflect the milestone!

What am I choosing here?

We offer two versions of the "Godly Wisdom" wording.

• from two parents - this wording is intended for parents who are issuing the diploma to their child. It includes the phrases "Wheras our (son/daughter)..." and "We, (his/her) parents, present (him/her) with this...".
• from a single parent or school - this wording leaves out the parent/child words while retaining the same core message.

Why are you asking this?

The wording you've chosen contains gender pronouns such as he/she, son/daughter, etc. We don't use this (or any info about your graduate!) for any other purpose.

What if I have multiple graduates?

Each graduate's gender will need to be selected here as you add the diplomas to your cart.

Which color should I choose?

This is another opportunity to express your graduate's personality or represent your school colors! Black is by far the most popular choice, but all 7 options have a formal, traditional feel.

The design you choose is hot-foil stamped into the front of your diploma cover. The process embosses the gold down into the surface of the cover for a three-dimensional look.

You can opt for a standard design or an upgraded option that includes your school name (we use the same school name you entered for the diploma.)

What's the difference?

8.5 x 11 (most popular): The diploma cover hinges at the top; the diploma is a standard letter size (horizontal) and has more "white space" around the sections of printed text.

6 x 8: A smaller size popular with public high schools. The diploma cover hinges on the side like a book, and the diploma layout is adjusted to fit everything on the smaller page.

When will I get the PDF?

Please Note: this is NOT an instant download. We email the PDF copy to you after we print the diploma - usually the next business day.

What is this?

A second copy of your document to help you preserve history - a great backup! Includes an archival envelope for long-term storage.

Any upgrades you've made to your diploma will be included on the Archive, except for hand calligraphy and 23kt-gold illumination.

Is this an "official", "legitimate" diploma?

Yes!...if you're the administrator of a legitimate school (this includes homeschool parents in compliance with state laws), and if you're ordering the diploma for your student who has actually done what the diploma says they've done, then your signature on the diploma makes it a legitmate legal document.

However, note that we are not a school or accrediting agency. We do not "issue" diplomas or ratify the information on them, and we don't make any guarantees that the graduate will be accepted into a college, job, or military based on the document. We provide graphic art and printing services to school administrators who wish to purchase a diploma. All claims made on the diploma are the responsibility of the customer.
