What Makes A High School Diploma Valid for Homeschoolers?
A diploma should include the name of the school, the name of the graduate, and the date presented. It should also specify that the student has met the requirements to receive the diploma. Lastly, it needs to be signed by the administrator(s) of the school – the signatures authenticate the claims made on the diploma.

We stumbled upon this website, checked out our options and was happy to see that something so very special and professional looking was available. The only interesting piece for me was finding out that HOME SCHOOL DIPLOMA does not exist as a ready option (instead of HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA) and that you have to request to make that change to this diploma. All in all, I was very pleased with the diploma of our choosing and will definitely be ordering diplomas from this company in the future.

This time I was a little bummed that the price went up since I looked a couple weeks ago, but knew it was going to be worth it. The packaging was not as protective this time, and the cover arrived with crushed corners at one side and a dent on one side …also, the cover was stamped obviously crooked. Not a good look for such an important event! Customer service seems great because they responded the same day and got a replacement sent right away. Unfortunately, the replacement is also crooked, in a different way, and the impression very uneven. There may not be time to replace before the ceremony now. It would be great if someone could visually check the quality before the order goes out.

Overall, it looks great. The padded cover is nicely done. The inside certificate is also well done. There were two downsides. One was my oversight in the size; there is a top-down opening style and it is 8.5″ x 11″ which is the one I ordered but didn’t realize the size; the other option is 6″ x 8″ which is the size I wanted but it opens side-to-side, which I didn’t want but would have chosen if I had realized the size difference. All I paid attention to was that I wanted the top-down opening but skipped the size detail thinking that they were both the same size and that the opening style was the only difference.
The other downside was the school name on the inside certificate. Because I used a shorter name (“Homeschool”), I added a few spaces on either side so that the school name would curve like it does with longer names; but when it arrived, the name was straight instead of curved. It wasn’t a big enough issue for us to get a replacement, but just a little disappointing.

I am very pleased with the quality, packaging and instructions that came with the diploma. We also ordered the cap and gown. The company even sends a little note about tassel turning and how to get ready to sign the diploma. I really appreciate that extra help with the details. The only issue I have with our diploma order is that the clear plastic sheet over the printed diploma arrived with a small indentation or crease toward the middle that is not very large but it’s there. Overall the though, the diploma is very nice.

My younger son actually graduated 2 years ago, and I never printed out a diploma for him, as I had my older son 10 years ago, because I knew my younger son wouldn’t have appreciated it.
